Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York City is the world’s leading cultural institution devoted to the research, preservation, and exhibition of materials focused on African American, African Diaspora, and African experiences.
The annual Schomburg Center Literary Festival features authors, books, programs, and a marketplace catering to wellness, literacy, independent book publishing, and the community.
Project Goal
For their third annual festival, Talooka Studio had the opportunity to create the concept and graphics for the festival using the brand identity and the chosen art piece, “Book of Cures” by Barbara Earl Thomas. After developing the look and feel, we designed social media templates and images to promote the participating author, featured books, and event announcements.
